The Wheaton Park District is an organization dedicated to leisure and recreation in Wheaton, Illinois, US. It was incorporated in 1921 and now contains more than 800 acres of land.
The Wheaton Park District consists of 829 acres of parks, pools and open spaces for recreational use. All properties are cared for and maintained by Park Services. The following amenities are featured at some of our parks: • Tot lots include play equipment geared toward smaller children.
The Wheaton Park District was established as a separate municipal body by the citizens of Wheaton in 1921. Land for its first park, Memorial Park, was purchased in 1921, with Southside (now Central) Park acquired in 1922, and Northside Park soon after.
