Papillion’s own Papio Bay Aquatic Center was recently given the Excellence in Aquatics Award by the National Recreation & Parks Association, an honor awarded to only the best managed aquatic facilities in the country.

The center includes a zero-depth pool, 2 waterslides, 3-meter and 1-meter diving boards, sand volleyball court, concessions, bathhouse and sand play area. For younger children there is a wading pool with a butterfly slide. Open Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day, daily. Admission: $5.50 ages 17-54, $4.50 ages 3-16 & over 55, free ages 2 and under.
