6 sie 2022 · SPOILERS AHEAD. Plot Summary. The film opens with a couple on their way to vacation. Susan’s hectic schedule had made it impossible for her and Daniel to rest properly. But eventually, they settled on a short trip where they plan to enjoy scuba-diving. It is also shown that their marriage has gone cold, and this trip is a chance to revive that.
Ending / spoiler. On their second day in the water, Susan wakes up to discover that Daniel has died overnight, having bled to death from a shark bite. In dispair, she takes off her floatation equipment and sinks below the surface, never knowing that rescuers were on their way.
Open Water. Because sometimes, the surprise “spoiler” ending is the only reason you’d pay $11 to see what is otherwise a turkey of a film. Because sometimes, you vaguely remember an old movie that had some sort of plot twist at the end of it, but can’t remember what it was.
What is your opinion on that film, Reddit? (spoilers inside) I found it to be very intense and frightening. The movie does a good job of making you feel like you know these people even though you aren't given a lot of information about them. And when that boat pulls away, it's just so scary.
The last scene of 'Open Water' has to be one of the most depressing, haunting endings I've ever seen. I have mixed feelings about the remainder of the film, but I'll never forget how the very last scene made me feel and it will always stay with me.
