Opening a workbook as a copy means creating a duplicate of the original workbook and working on the duplicate rather than the original. This is one of the best ways to instantly work on the workbook using a copy.
19 cze 2021 · Choose the Open As Copy option. Excel opens a copy of the workbook. The workbook that is opened uses the same file name, but Excel attaches some sort of phrase to the beginning of the file name, as a prefix.
Instead of Shift+Right-Click -> Open as Read Only, use Open in Protected View. Seems to do what's needed and prevents editing of the document. It should work for Word and Excel files.
