27 lut 2012 · OP 40 or OxyContin 40mg is a long acting version of oxycodone that is meant to be a slow timed release. When you split, crush, chew or alter them in any way you defeat the time release mechanism and can have too much medicine release all at once.
The release of oxycodone from OxyContin tablets is biphasic with an initial relatively fast release providing an early onset of analgesia followed by a more controlled release, which determines the 12 hour duration of action.
is an OP 40 Oxy feel the same as taking an instant release 20mg? I have an OP 40 and I usually take 20mg instant release, will it feel stronger then that or just like a longer gradual 20mg?
11 kwi 2016 · Unlike the old OCs I've heard the time release is hard to get off these. After some research I haven't found a fast method to remove the time release from the Oxycontin OPs. Does anyone know of an effective way to make the Oxycontin OP 80mgs instant release?
It's an OP 40 with time release. Plugging it won't help break the time release and has no greater bioavailabilty than eating it. Chances are the pill will just sit in his ass for hours or days without dissolving completely.
