Giving your Trex deck a thorough clean by scrubbing it with warm soapy water, white vinegar, or a gentle power wash should do the trick. But if not, a deck brightener is also effective at removing tough stains and tannins.
We have a Trex deck. While I love the idea of composite decking, Trex has been a nightmare in terms of mildew. (My mom bought the brand of composite decking that Lowes sells and has not had the mildew problem.) I have had to clean and pressure wash my deck each year. So much for "maintenance free."
