The book runs to twenty-four large pages, the text hand-set in 14pt Dante, and printed on a hand-made paper from Batchelor. The paper probably dates from the 1930s. It came originally from Oxford University Press, via Whittington Press who acquired the remaining stocks of OUP's hand-made papers when the Printing House closed.
The main text - the text of the mill's own description of its process for converting esparto grass into a high-quality paper - is set in Monotype Romulus, a favourite face at The Old School Press, with titles in Optima. The paper is Abbey Mill's Basingwerk Parchment.

We have several 14pt founts in sufficient quantity to run to a decent number of pages: Octavian, Fournier, Caslon Old Face, Perpetua, Dante, and Hunt Roman in particular. Our booklets are always modestly priced.
Variant A will consist of the book together with about sixty Press letterpress ephemera in a clamshell archive box, plus a collection of ‘overs’ sheets from twenty-two past Press books in a further clamshell archive box, the two boxes held in yet another clamshell archive box. The price will be £220.
