Trauma alerts may be activated for EMS patients meeting Ohio Pre-Hospital Trauma Triage Decision Tree criteria. When a trauma alert is activated, emergency department staff, trauma team members, and others from ancillary services, such as radiology, blood bank, lab, pharmacy, and respiratory services respond to the trauma bay to await EMS arrival.
