If you have a West Virginia APRN license and a prerequisite WV RN license, then you will be required to renew your WV RN license as well. The RN renewal fee will be waived for active WV APRNs who have a WV RN license.

This change affects our state's application workflow. Changes include: State Registry Requirement: Your state's Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) will now be a mandatory part of the process.
Applicants must create a Nurse Portal account to access electronic forms, apply online for their West Virginia nursing license, and send and receive messages. Individuals with a West Virginia RN license application in progress need to check their Message Center periodically to see if they need to follow up with the Board.
