If your monitor is telling you that there is no DVI input then either your DVI cable is unplugged or loosened from either the monitor or Video Card or you are using a different kind of interface and you need to tell your monitor from which interface to expect the signal.

One of my monitors seems to have a "broken" DVI-Port with some strange behaviour: VGA works fine. When plugging it in DVI, the nvidia-settings tool finds the monitor and the correct Hardware-Details, and i can configure the Monitor settings.
