Trenton Speedway was a racing facility located near Trenton, New Jersey at the New Jersey State Fairgrounds. Races for the United States' premier open-wheel and full-bodied racing series of the times were held at Trenton Speedway.
The New Jersey State Fair is a non-profit agricultural fair held in early August at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey. The fair has been held in conjunction with the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show since 1999 and draws 220,000 residents annually.
Nothing now remains of Trenton Speedway, though the Grounds for Sculpture on part of the site is open year round and does at least allow you to explore the now scenic grounds. The sculpture garden is located in the north-eastern suburbs of Trenton, between I-295 and the Trenton Freeway. From I-295 North, exit at 65B/Sloan Avenue West.
8 wrz 2023 · The Trenton Speedway was located at the New Jersey State Fairgrounds, which is now the location of Grounds For Sculpture. The Speedway first opened its doors on September 24th, 1900. However, the first race did not take place on the property until 7 years later in 1907.

Construction on the sculpture park began in 1989 on the site of the former New Jersey State Fairgrounds; Grounds For Sculpture opened to the general public in 1992.
