It was established in 1991 under WCW and would continue to be used after WCW's purchase by the WWF until December 2001, when it was unified with the WWF Championship at Vengeance. The Big Gold Belt , which represented the championship, continued to appear until April 2002 when the new Undisputed WWF Championship belt was introduced.
