The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) is a part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS). NDBC designs, develops, operates, and maintains a network of data collecting buoys and coastal stations.

NDBC is part of OceanSITES, an international system of open-ocean reference stations measuring various aspects of the ocean. The network provides high resolution data, often in real-time, for meteorology, physical oceanography, biogeochemistry, and more.
27 lut 2024 · Completed in 1994 by the PMEL research laboratory, and transferred to an operational status at NDBC in 2005, the array provides real-time high quality oceanographic and surface meteorological data for monitoring, forecasting and understanding climate swings associated with El Nino La Nina.
