The Grand Rapids Public Museum tells the story of Michigan’s second-largest city, from its earliest days to the present. Key among the permanent displays is “Anishinabek: The People of this Place,” featuring one of the largest Native American cultural and historical exhibitions in Michigan.

The Nokomis Native American Cultural Heritage Center is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the history, Arts, and culture of the Anishinaabe people – the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi nations. The Center fulfills this mission through programs, exhibitions and special events.
