The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are K–12 science content standards. Standards set the expectations for what students should know and be able to do. The NGSS were developed by states to improve science education for all students.
Read and search the Next Generation Science Standards: Discover various ways the student performance expectations (PEs) can be arranged, in cluding by Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs) or topic arrangements. The standards can also be filtered by grade, the three dimensions, or science disciplines.
The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are based on the "Framework K–12 Science Education" that was created by the National Research Council. They have three dimensions that are integrated in instruction at all levels.
