Outside, the park offers a swimming pool, ice rink, a gleaming interactive musical playground, White Sox Baseball Miracle Field (ADA accessible), eleven ball fields, and tennis courts. Park-goers can participate in seasonal sports, preschool activities, Therapeutic Recreation, and softball leagues.
Throughout the winter season, you can stay active outdoors while enjoying a fun time with family and friends at one of six outdoor ice rinks located throughout the city. In addition to open skate sessions, most rinks offer programming and some events throughout the season.
The rink at Mount Greenwood Park is the perfect spot for beginner skaters. The large rink also hosts hockey games and ice skating lessons. Admission is free, skate rentals and skate aids for those learning to skate are available.
