Examination – You must pass the Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) and the Principles and Practices of Engineering (PE ) (the Structural Exam (SE) is accepted in lieu of the PE exam) exams administered by NCEES. You do not need to obtain department -approval before scheduling any of the exams. For NCEES
The Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam tests for a minimum level of competency in a particular engineering discipline. It is designed for engineers who have gained a minimum of four years post-college work experience in their chosen engineering discipline.
Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. Graduate with a bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum. Gain four years of engineering experience under the supervision of a registered professional engineer.
