Yates Cider Mill is a cider mill in Rochester, Michigan. The mill traces its roots to 1863, when it was known as Yates Grist Mill. In order for the mill to utilize water power, the Yates Dam was built.
Come to the mill for the best cider and donuts as well as apple fritters, pies and other baked goods including cookies, turnovers and bread pudding!
Born in 1863, Yates Cider Mill is the oldest cider mill in Michigan. With six generations and a 160-year history, it remains a treasured part of the fabric of the Oakland County community.
By 1876, the Yates family installed a cider press into the existing water-powered process and began producing delicious Michigan cider. It then became known as Yates Cider Mill. Yates is one of the oldest, continually running businesses in Michigan.

Our cider mill has been water powered since 1863. Pony rides as well as a hot dog stand available on weekends. We schedule tours on the weekdays until the end of October by appointment. Enjoy trails along the Clinton River. Open daily September to November.
