End-Fed Horizontal Wires (EFHW) cover multiple bands with-out traps, stubs, or resonators. End-fed radiators have the unique quality of resonating on the 1/2-wave fundamental frequency plus odd/even harmonics above! Broad-band matching transformer at feed point lets the entire HF spectrum be yours!
3 wrz 2017 · I have compared EFHW-8010 (which looks very similar to MFJ) versus full size inverted V wire dipoles (all antennas had their top 14 m off the ground) on 80/40/30/20 m with a WSPRlite beacon. Results were quite interesting: similar on 80 m, slightly lower on 40 & 30 m, rather poor on 20 m.
(EFHW) dipole antenna. The frequency band is HF (40 meters), and the intended power is 100 watts. Interest in the EFHW antenna has increased significantly over the last few years. Perhaps the main reasons being: It is inexpensive and easy to build, easy to deploy, can be portable, and it is multi band. The last reason may be
MFJ-1984HP , END FED, 1/2 WAVE, 40-10M, 800W, WIRE ANTENNA. FULL HF Coverage, no tuner needed on most frequencies. No long counterpoise, radials or feedline required. Rugged weather-resistant 50-Ohm matching network.
25 mar 2020 · It is rated for 800 watts which makes it a good match for the intermediate range amplifiers such as the Ameritron AL-811, AL-811H, ALS-600, and the Elecraft KPA-500 as well as other amplfiers that produce 800 watts or less. I erected the MFJ-1982HP with the feed end in a tree at about 35 feet.
