The Anthropology Department offers cutting edge training for both undergraduates and graduates. Our programs include the traditional BA, MA/PhD programs, as well as a 1-Year MA in Medical Anthropology and Global Health that includes a certificate in Global Health, and joint MA/MPH and PhD/MPH, MA/MD and PhD/MD degree programs.
After introducing the anthropological approaches to the study of health and illness, this course will explore the practices of traditional medical knowledge, medical ethics, pandemics, HIV/AIDS, mental health, environmental health, and cosmetic surgery.
