The Start of Marsh's. In the story told by Marsh’s Free Museum’s Founder’s Grandson, David, it all started in 1921 when his grandfather, Wellington Marsh Sr., moved to Washington from North Dakota after going broke farming rutabagas at the start of the Great Depression.
