Good beer, great burgers! The local clientele is a little rough around the edges, so probably not a great place for families with small kids. The server/bartender was a friendly guy, the food came out pretty quickly. Classic rock blaring made it a little difficult to carry on a conversation. Tables were sticky.
Sadly the Maiden Publick house closed due to inaccessibility after mudslides and fires caused the Big Sur bridge to go out. The bridge has been restored as of 2018, but the Maiden is lost to the mists of time.

The Maiden Publick House offers affordable pub grub and the most extensive American craft and European beer selection in Monterey County. The hamburgers are the hands down best in the area and the atmosphere is very casual.
