Madagascar 4 could be used to give a better conclusion to the franchise than Madagascar 3. But if the film is made, I guarantee you that Alex’s relationship with Gia will be explored deeply, since it was only implied in the third movie. Also, the series should’ve concluded in Africa.

One is that the world has to want Madagascar 4, because if they don't want it, it doesn't matter what we do. And the other thing is even if the world wants Madagascar 4 , we have to make sure that we have an idea that is incredible, that is great, that is unexpected.
After the events of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, the four long time friends have spent their fair amount of time in the circus and after several years, now want to move onto something new. The new antagonist 'Alamone' is a collector, and due to Alex's rare heritage wants his skull for it's unique shape.
I think Madagascar 3 showed us that they can change the setting, plot and character dynamic quite a bit and still keep a large audience, which is great! That, plus how long it's been since 3 means they have a lot of creative freedom.
So does anyone have any ideas of where they could take the story to end it? Would they still make use of the main squad's new roles in the circus? Would the next characters still be very involved? What kind of ending would fit as a satisfying conclusion? Toss me some ideas. I'm curious.
