17 wrz 2021 · After a "sudden shutdown", aka "system crash", and reboot, the terminal command sudo journalctl -b -1 -e will show you the end of the previous boot's log's. If there is no hint there, suspect power/ overheating. Read man journalctl to see how to extract information from the logs.
I've never managed to execute an Alt-Sysrq-REISUB to force a cleaner shutdown, but that's probably because I'm on a laptop. Yes, you're probably correct. Many modern keyboards no longer have the SysRq key... much to the displeasure of Linux users and kernel developers. 😏 I'd suggest finding a secondary keyboard that has the SysRq key.
The final result - my system has been usually shutdown after 20 mins maybe, if I set the max idle value to 30 mins. I think the culprit is xscreensaver which doesn't work as is set by entered parameters.
