Lance Crouther is an American television producer, television writer and actor. He was the head writer of the TBS late night show Lopez Tonight until 2010, and was a writer for Down to Earth, [1] Wanda at Large, [2] and Good Hair, [3] among others.
Lance Crouther began his career in comedy while a teenager in high school, in Chicago, already touring comedy clubs and colleges, performing stand-up. From there, he took his natural comedic ability to Los Angeles and began to find work writing and performing on television.

The attention was nothing new to Crouther, who was also working as a traveling stand-up comedian performing in clubs and colleges. Moving to Los Angeles, Crouther started writing for comedians, as well as a number of television pilots and shows such as The Gregory Hines Show.
