I purchased a 2012 Kia Rio new in 2012 and it turned out that the fuel efficiency rating was incorrect. Consequently, Kia set up the Kia Fuel Economy Ratings Adjustment Program where I could record my mileage and get a rebate based on average regional gas prices.
Kia’s comprehensive reimbursement program for vehicle owners affected by the fuel economy rating adjustment remains in effect and unchanged by the EPA agreement. The class action settlement has been approved by the Court and the settlement notice process will not be affected by this agreement with EPA.
You can have your Kia reimbursement determined throughout each year and get a rebate based on your mileage and the required adjustment. In addition to the rebate, you will also receive a 15% premium for fuel costs.
