Kentucky Academic Standards for Health Education and Physical Education.
The purpose of the Kentucky Academic Standards is to outline the minimum content standards required for all students before graduating from Kentucky public high schools. Kentucky schools and districts are responsible for coordinating curricula across grade levels and among schools within districts.
Teacher Standards for Educator Preparation and Certification established June 30, 2018. These standards shall be used in the evaluation and assessment of a teacher for initial or advanced certification and for the accreditation of educator preparation providers.
The EPSB approves assessment options for educators seeking a teaching certificate, such as Praxis Performance Assessment for Teachers and Praxis Teaching Reading: Elementary. The board also extends the trial run of -1 SEM for Praxis assessments and adopts the Read to Succeed Act requirements for early literacy instruction.
