This is a must hike! Gorgeous river and trail. There’s some blowdown on jacks River trail but it just adds to its rugged adventurous charm. Wear closed toe hiking sandal on jack river segment so you’re ready to lay down in the river and cool off at all the crossings.
If you're looking for an unforgettable hike through the Georgia wilderness, consider starting in Alaculsey and embarking on a 3-day backpacking trip up the entire Jacks River Trail. One of the most unique aspects of this hike is the 22 river crossings (one-way), which can be challenging due to the swift current and slippery rocks.
