20 sty 2021 · The Illinois Learning Standards establish expectations for what students should know and be able to do in each subject at each grade. ISBE provides resources, webinars, and tools to support curriculum evaluation, instructional alignment, and priority learning standards.
The Standards use individual grade levels in kindergarten through grade 8 to provide useful specificity; the Standards use two-year bands in grades 9–12 to allow schools, districts, and states flexibility in high school course design.
The Illinois Learning Standards are based on the ISBE standards and reflect the knowledge and skills for college and career readiness. They are developed by national organizations and aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
