Sinners need to forsake their ways and thoughts (actions and attitudes, Isaiah 55:7) because they are not God’s ways and thoughts. God’s way is forgiveness and His thoughts are compassionate (Isaiah 55:7), as far different from those of sinners as the heavens are higher than the earth.
