Absolutely agree. Firefox is my personal browser of choice because it's FOSS, developed by a non-profit, and strong customization (especially for privacy and security). That being said, this is more about the insecurity of many non-major browsers than any compliment towards Chrome.

AVG is a pretty terrible AV in itself. It use to be good back in it's glory days, but it's just another bloated Avast clone in a different skin now. Just use your browser of choice with a good ad-block like uBlock Origin and you'll have plenty of protection.
AVG Secure Browser was randomly installed alongside FileZilla. Is it safe? Open | Software. Hello everybody! Just yesterday (as of posting this), I have installed FileZilla on my personal laptop. I understand that some freeware will come with other software, and also that AVG is a legit antivirus (correct me if I am wrong).
So he's been running AVG Secure browser which consumes literally all the resources it can find. Then I open chrome and edge to try and use those, and both redirect me to pages by AVG which say using them isn't safe and you need to switch to AVG Secure Browser or be exposed to threats etc etc.
I use it 60 hours a week in my work, it is the best browser that currently exists, the fastest, the most secure and the one that gives the fastest response. The 'Bank Mode' function that creates a Virtual isolated anti-hacker system in 1 second is the best.
