Concealed Carry License On July 9, 2013, Public Act 98-63, the Firearm Concealed Carry Act became state law (430 ILCS 66). This law requires an Illinois Concealed Carry License to carry a concealed firearm in Illinois.
Firearm dealers must be licensed by the state. To obtain a state license, a gun store must submit proof that it has a Federal Firearms License. The store must have surveillance equipment, maintain an electronic inventory, establish anti-theft measures, and require employees to receive training annually. [82]
