The name change was announced at the medical center’s Heroes in Health Care event June 12, and will be implemented throughout the organization in the coming weeks and months.
Since its founding in 1973, the original 59-bed, short-stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute care medical center with 232 licensed beds.
