You can use a virtual floppy drive (VFD), but you need to install it in a non-standard way. I've found a solution how to install it under Windows Vista x64, and I think the procedure for Windows 7 is similar.
You can mount a floppy image file as a virtual floppy drive and directly access the contents -- view, edit, rename, delete or create files on a virtual floppy, format a virtual floppy, launch a program on a virtual floppy... almost anything you can do with a real floppy.
Try FileDisk (also comes bundled with WinImage): FileDisk is a virtual disk driver for Windows that uses one or more files to emulate physical disks. A console application is included that let you dynamically mount and unmount files.
6 sie 2013 · You'll have an empty "1.44 MB" image. Attach it to VirtualBox and format through "My Computer" in the guest. If you want to format the image on the host system or to copy files into it, use mkfs.vfat + mount -o loop on Linux, and VFD on Windows.
