7 lip 2020 · For this year’s ARRL Field Day event I was looking to put up a homebrew antenna that was easy to construct‚ easy to deplay‚ and give me multi-band support. I settled on an 80 meter Off Center Fed Dipole antenna. Watch the video to see how I do it:
This type of antenna is a popular antenna design as the performance is very good across the HF bands and requires little or no tuning. It’s a dipole fed off center with a 4:1 balun at the offset feed point. The antenna shown covers 80, 40, 20 and 10 meters.
31 mar 2016 · Makes a great indoor scanner antenna and can be hung in the attic, an upstairs window, or sliding door and hidden in the curtains. The legs/ends of the dipole are simple bell wire and shown here coiled up.
Here is my home HF antenna. It is an off centre fed dipole, with 10 feet of vertical radiator. It needs no tuner on 40m, 20m and 10m. It also works fine on all bands above 40m with a tuner, and even below 40m on 60m, and 80m, although the coax losses will be higher.
1 lis 2019 · An OCF Dipole with Homebrew 4:1 Balun; A really high quality BALUN is needed to really make an OCF dipole operate properly. Without one the common made current (CMC) can really mess up where the antenna is resonant.

On the other hand, an OCF dipole is an ungrounded dipole antenna fed with twin-conductor line, either coaxial or open wire parallel conductors. The so-called " OCF windom " is also a misnomer, for the same reasons.
