Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital (AAH) is one of Hamad Medical Corporation's community hospitals located to the north of Qatar, just south of Al Khor. The hospital welcomed its first outpatients in November 2022 and will be undergo a phased opening, becoming fully operational in mid-2023.
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is Qatar's main not-for-profit health care provider, managing several hospitals and other facilities in Doha and other areas. HMC is the only healthcare organization outside the US to receive JCI accreditation for all its hospitals, and also operates an academic health system with Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.
Hamad Hospital is one of the eight hospitals managed by Hamad Medical Corporation, offering highly specialized and complex care to the people of Qatar. It provides a wide range of medical services, including trauma, emergency, pediatrics, critical care, surgery, medicine, laboratory, imaging and rehabilitation.
The key facilitator to a successful enhanced recovery after PD protocol is careful multi-disciplinary planning with input from all stakeholders. Evidenced-based enhanced recovery protocols have been shown to reduce postoperative morbidity and accelerate postoperative recovery following PD.
