Scholastic Guided Reading Programs help you meet the needs of all learners with authentic literature combined with high-quality instructional support. Choose from varied collections of books categorized by their genre and reading level to support children as they learn to read.
Select “Guided Reading” and click “Set.” After that, you can use Quick Search to type in a title and find its level. You can also use the Leveled Search to find lists of books at your child’s level.
Use the grid below to shop by Guided Reading, Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA), and Lexile ® Levels. This chart includes Lexile level recommendations and may also be used as a general leveling guide.
IRLA (Independent Reading Level Assessment) is used by the Beaverton School District. Books at a student’s Independent Reading Level (IRLA) should be fun, fast and easy. When kids spend most of their time reading books like this, their comprehension, fluency and reading confidence increases.
