25 kwi 2010 · Your G19 itself is capable of sub four inch groups at 25 yards. It is up to you to develop your accuracy through practice with a purpose. Blasting away is not practice with a purpose. Right now your goal is to develop slow fire accuracy starting at about 5 yards.

As for gripping technique and trigger control, there is no substitute for personal coaching, by a truly knowledgeable instructor.

19 kwi 2017 · G19s are not bullseye quality guns, but the average gun will shoot most ammo into 3-6" groups at 25 yards. Some might be better, some might be worse. I've shot a G19 from a Ransom Rest at 25 yards and average group size is 4" with a variety of ammo. Better ammo shoots around 3", worse ammo around 6", based on 15-shot groups.
My local range is 25 yards, but you can move the target back and forth on a track to whatever distance you want. 25 yards is an incredibly long distance for defensive pistol shooting. You should be practicing from 3-10 yards.
29 cze 2017 · Glocks are pretty loose guns, but have reasonable accuracy with good ammo and an excellent shooter. I would say a glock in excellent condition can make a four inch group at 25 yards. Mechanical accuracy of a G34 is more like 2.5 inches at 25 yards. YouTube.
The gun is capable of it, you aren't. 40 yards is a long poke with a handgun. 25 yards is long range, 3-15 yards is "combat" range, with 7 being the accepted statistical median. You'll also find that with shorter guns like the 19, the problem is not so much the mechanical accuracy as the sights.
