Georgia had approximately 14,000 children in foster care last year; 2,740 of these children have a permanency goal of adoption. Out of those children, there are 350 children who are available for adoption and in need of loving, permanent homes.

Prospective Foster or Adoptive Parents must meet the following minimum criteria: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must complete an information session virtually or in person at the local county office. Must successfully complete pre-service IMPACT Family Centered Practice training.
