Free Tibet worked to expose Chinese human rights violations through helping to organise and participating in large scale rallies in central London during the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relay in which thousands of Tibet supporters filled the streets.
Website: www.freetibet.org. Free Tibet started life in 1987 when we were named Tibet Support Group UK. We renamed ourselves Free Tibet Campaign in 1996 and made one further name change in 2008, becoming Free Tibet. We are a non-profit, non-governmental organisation.
We keep the eyes of the world on the atrocities being committed in Tibet. We share evidence that makes them impossible to deny. We lead campaigns that make them impossible to ignore.
1 paź 2022 · Thousands of Free Tibet supporters took online actions targeting the Chinese embassies and local authorities in Qinghai and sent postcards with her face to the Chinese embassy in London. She was released in April 2022 after eight months of detention.
