The Franklin County Probate Court issues marriage licenses to residents of Franklin County, Ohio who are planning to marry in the state of Ohio. Licenses may also be issued to out-of-state residents who plan to marry in Franklin County, Ohio.
Marriage License Index. Marriage Records ARE available on-line from January 3, 1995. Marriage records from 1803 through 1994 ARE available at the Probate Court. All records provided through the case search are current as of the previous day's date.

Where do we obtain our marriage license? Marriage licenses are valid for 60 days after issuance and can be obtained from the Franklin County Probate Court. Couples must have a non-expired license on the day of the ceremony.
