The subscription would fit with what you want from it, though there is rarely sources for further reading. Also, FA is more focused on topics relevant to US foreign policy (for ex, there's an essay about how to deal with China pretty much every week).

Foreign Affairs is the journal for the Council on Foreign Relations, a U.S. think tank that has helped formulate foreign policy over the past few decades. That being said, they are also one of the best sources for insight into international relations and I've found that the material they publish does a good job of minimizing the inherent bias.
