Series overview. The first season follows Barry Allen, a crime-scene investigator who gains superhuman speed from the explosion of the S.T.A.R. Labs ' particle accelerator and becomes the costumed superhero the Flash.
The season follows Barry facing against his nemesis, the Reverse-Flash, the futuristic alien Despero, the fire Meta Deathstorm and the Negative Speed Force. It is set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other television series of the universe, and is a spin-off of Arrow.
