Fate is an Urban Fantasy action franchise, part of the greater Nasuverse created by Nasu Kinoko and Takeuchi Takashi. Originally just a series of self-contained material, the Fate franchise very quickly eclipsed the rest of Type-Moon 's works and came into its own as a standalone series.

Fate series is a TYPE-MOON media collective that follows various events called Holy Grail Wars that involve Masters, generally accomplished magi, summoning Servants, Heroic Spirits, and battling each other until the last remaining pair can claim the purported Holy Grail.
What are some recurring tropes/story patterns you've noticed? Discussion. Team protagonist comes up with a plan that works right until the confrontation with a big bad, who suddenly thwarts it. Only for someone from the Team (or other ally) to one up the baddy and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. -It's not the time to explain it yet.

Fate/Apocrypha is a Japanese light novel series in Type-Moon 's Fate franchise, written by Yūichirō Higashide and illustrated by Ototsugu Konoe. Type-Moon published five volumes from December 2012 to December 2014. A manga adaptation illustrated by Akira Ishida is serialized in Kadokawa Shoten 's Comp Ace magazine.
