19 mar 2020 · In the 150 HP category, the 2.7L Evinrude G2 has a huge advantage over the 4 cylinder four stroke competitors, obviously the Evinrude is a two stroke and it is a V6. Although it’s a smaller displacement than the others, the Yamaha is a 2.8L and the Mercury is a 3.0L; The G2 has two more cylinders firing on every stroke.

Hi all, I’m hoping I can get a few opinions and a lot of facts about the Evinrude 300, and more specifically, how the Evinrude G2 300 HP compares to a Verado 300 HP. We currently have the Verado 300’s and while they haven’t been bad engines, I’m intrigued with the new G2 300’s.
18 wrz 2015 · The Evinrude features electronic shift and throttle, although it can be rigged with mechanical controls through an adapter. The Mercury features mechanical shift and throttle. You can pick from 5 different colors with the Evinrude and you can choose power steering if you prefer.
27 paź 2020 · The now defunct Evinrude G2 was the lightest 20” 300 at 545 Lbs which included the cowling and steering system. With Suzuki you get a 4.0L DOHC V6 priced extremely well. This is a repower engine for heavy boats, geared for low end torque and not for performance but that’s a large part of the market.
