19 paź 2012 · Incidentally, I started this thread to focus on a single word lifted from a post by santiagobundo entitled "Lebanese Arabic: Ta'al andi, bidi a showef zoukmec!" I don't know what زقم is but a common cold is referred to as زكام (zukaam) or زكمة ( zakmah). That was my first thought, too, but the sentence is a bit opaque.

8 lut 2016 · You can tell that gagging and retching are coming from different places by the accompanying sounds. A gag may be virtually silent, or make a fairly muffled sound, whereas retching usually brings the vocal chords into play with a fully voiced moan (or groan, or bellow ...). Sometimes gagging and retching can have the same cause.
