The THEN command is only useful when paired with the &ersand command. If you want actions to happen independently in a row, you can continue to use the @ command. If want things to happen WHILE dialogue is on screen, that is a good use for & and THEN.
If a character is commanded to “stand” on screen, they will pop into existence rather than enter naturally. So you will need to make your characters enter. Examples: @ANGIE enters from left to screen left. @YOU enters from left to back right. Examples: @ANGIE exits right. @YOU exits left.
