14 lut 2024 · My friend gave me a USB which was (probably) corrupted, and some of the ROMs changed into weird files with dates like 2099 and 1532. I chucked the USB away and reset my laptop in case a virus transmitted from the USB. My question is, did this happen because the ROMs from www.emulatorgames.net were malware from the start or was it from the USB?
In short. Never assume any site is safe. Take reasonable precautions and care. sites can get hacked or worse. For roms, There is the site being "safe". Then there's the rom files you are downloading. Being safe or not. Two very distinct things. Numerous roms have known checksums and can be verified.
16 lip 2021 · Been planning on messing around with tons of retro games and wanted to know if emulatorgames.net was safe since it contains tons of ROMS that aren't in the megathread. Could always set up a virtual machine but rather spare the effort. You can navigate by scrolling down from the top of the page.
I personally use romsmania.cc or the megathread but I've been using romsmode and romsmania for years but romsmode is gone and when you try to go to the website it redirects to romsmania but I've never had issues with it. 1. Reply. nicos_revenge. • 4 yr. ago.

8 paź 2021 · No, you do not need to reinstall windows that was just emulatorgames.online downloading the essential files which are required to play the games, it is not a virus. do not recomend it almost hacked my pc. Playing games on online emulator sites is just as dangerous as surfing any other website.

Was wondering if any of you knew if it was safe or not. Yes it's safe everything I've downloaded from there has just been the rom I needed. Yes, I use all the time.
