I want to run a batch file after Windows XP starts up. How can I do that? My run.bat file: subst Z: C:\dir1\dir2\dir3\file I put run.bat in the startup folder (C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Start Menu\Programs\Startup) but the link isn’t created.
It takes long time at "running startup scripts", long time at "running shutdown scripts" and ages at "Applying computer settings". I checked local computer policy and there are no scripts for the local computer.

31 sie 2009 · Another possibility is to grab AutoHotkey and then make a script to set up various shortcuts to start those apps (say Ctrl+Alt+V for visual studio, Ctrl+Alt+D for delphi, etc...) then you can just hit those key combos on startup to start the programs you want.
5 kwi 2019 · You can specify what programs you want to run on Windows boot. All you have to do is add the script, executable, or shortcut in to the startup folder. Alternatively you can use scheduled tasks to manage startup scripts. This will show you how to use both methods.
