Last edited: Aug 27, 2014. #19. The Sino-Vietnamese war (1979) is a largely forgotten war in the West. Other armed conflict that I might mention is the Angolan Civil war (1975-2002), which also involved South Africa, Cuba and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
30 kwi 2012 · When a reform was put through, giving the Algerians and Settlers 60 representatives each in the French Parliament, one could not help but draw parallels between the estates general pre-revolution, and the system put forth. I suppose the French could have also kept Djibouti, Azawad, North Chad, Niger, Mauritania, Comoros, St Louis (In Senegal ...

23 maj 2015 · If u gonna write about things atleast do read up about it. Goa was and is an Indian state. Its language culture, food all show greater affinity with India. East timor wasInvaded because they were not Indonesians and because they were tribals. Timor was never part of Indonesia historically.

23 wrz 2008 · The Indonesian military slaughtered roughly 1/3 of the population of East Timor in the drive to reclaim it after it proclaimed independence. Does anyone really favor East Timor going back to Indonesia simply because it shares a historical heritage? The people of Tibet have a justifiable grievance with the Chinese government.
22 lut 2015 · In fact a few months ago, someone shoved the East Timorese torture picture in my face on another forum and claimed it was a Chinese, again. If anyone wants to see the images and proof of the original sources (that correctly label them as from Banyuwangi, Kalimantan, and East Timor) send me a PM and I'll send you the links because they are too graphic to post on here.

This seems a big transformation and in need of clear-cut historical explanation. It seems to me that the reasons for decolonisation were complex, but can essentially be divided into ...
24 paź 2008 · Canada. Oct 24, 2008. #3. Canadians and Australians performed very well during World War 1. I think chiefly this has to do with the fact that they were driven by necessity to find alternatives to the prevailing doctrines, which were extremely expensive in terms of manpower.
One should also look at the Photian schism. 1054 is hardly a watershed date: it's mostly a matter of two egotistical churchmen coming into conflict. As for sources, Anna has nothing to say but Psellos describes the events. Attaleiates' lack of interest in the matter may be worth noting.
